Schedule time to try different restaurants , explore resorts , walk down Main Street , U . S . A ., watch a Cavalcade , and simply take in all the sights , sounds , and smells .
Too many guests become obsessed with hitting all of the big rides and trying to squeeze in all of the attractions , but there ’ s so much more to WDW than snagging a boarding group for Star Wars : Rise of the Resistance .
5 . NOT SHARING FOOD This isn ’ t always recommended , especially if you don ’ t feel comfortable sharing a meal or you have certain health and safety measures or dietary restrictions to think about .
But in general , I highly recommend sharing food as much as you can . Not only will it save you money in the long run , but you ’ ll be able to try more food — and not be too full to do so .
TIP : If you don ’ t feel comfortable or safe sharing food , try ordering from the kids ’ menu . You get smaller portions , and it ’ s cheaper .

6 . THINKING IT ’ S ALWAYS WARM & SUNNY Orlando weather isn ’ t always cooperative . While we envision our Disney vacations being filled with the warm rays of Florida sun , the weather can sometimes be unpredictable at WDW .
Your weather app might say it ’ s not going to rain , and then a downpour can come out of nowhere . You should always be prepared for inclement weather , especially during hurricane season .
Some things to think about putting in your park bag : an umbrella , a poncho , and shoe covers .
TIP : You can purchase water-resistant covers so your shoes don ’ t get soaked in the rain . You may also want to pack more than one pair of shoes in case your feet get soaked .
7 . STICKING TO THE MAIN THEME PARK FOOD GROUPS Yes , pizza , hamburgers , hot dogs , chips , and ice cream make people happy . However , WDW has so many amazing and different food options that you can ’ t get at home .
