3. Are you prepared for vigorous beauty treatments? It has been 89 grueling, yet fabulous, days of preparing for the show. Now it is time for the first coat of war paint, better known as a spray tan. But first you must rid your entire body of hair. Your entire body! You will be waxed, exfoliated and have taken your last shower for the next 48 hours. Wait, what?! 48 hours with no shower? And you cannot wear deodorant because it will make your spray tan turn green. Finally, it is bed time. Remember to put towels on your bed so you do not rub spray tan onto your sheets. You cannot risk any moisture making your new tan bleed, so you do not dare sit on the toilet to pee. The next day, you will have to go back for a last coat of spray tan. And by the way, during all this spraying you will be completely naked. Now, it is time to show off all of your hard work. Before walking out on stage, you need a thick layer of stage makeup to be applied, including eyelashes, bright lipstick, dark foundation (your face has to match your body) and of course, sparkly eye-shadow. Big, heavysprayed hair will complete your look. You will slightly resemble a female impersonator once you are prepared to walk on stage, but one with a really good body. Last but not least, you will need to find a trusted, fellow competitor to glue you into your itty-bitty bikini. Be careful so you are glued in securely and that you don’t get some of that spray glue between your cheeks. Once on you are on stage, none of the gruesome prep work will matter! You will look awesome because all of the hard work you put in over the last 90 days. Everything will pay off once you hit your first pose.
