Helen MacDonald’s ‘H is for Hawk’ won the Costa Award in 2014. As
well as being a blow-by-blow account of how a falconer exerts her will
over a Goshawk, the book gives an intimate insight into how Helen
coped with the death of her father. Helen is honorary president of
Gloucestershire Raptor Monitoring Group. She will talk about her
books and her recent BBC film about Goshawks in Gloucestershire.
