P2/3PG Transport Topic
All the children in P2/3PG enjoyed making clay models linked to our Transport Topic with
Holly's mum, Mrs Karen Carnson. We would like to thank Holly's mum and all
parents/carers/friends who have joined us in the class or who have helped us with
resources or in any other way throughout this session. The children have really benefited
from your continuing input. Thank you all!
World Book Day - Thursday 6 March 2014
We will be celebrating World Book Day on 6 March with The Big Read - a 30 minute session
from 9 - 9.30 am when all pupils and staff in school will be engaged in reading for pleasure
(or storytime for the younger and Nursery pupils).
The £1 World Book Day tokens will be distributed to all Primary and Nursery pupils during
week commencing 3 March and Secondary pupils can obtain theirs from the LRC. Tokens
are redeemable at all good book stores and there will also be a limited supply of these
books in the LRC for those pupils who are unable to visit a bookshop.
To round off our World Book Day celebrations we shall be welcoming the children’s author
Barry Hutchison into school on Friday 7 March.
