Parent Drop In
Parent Drop In runs every Friday morning from 9.15 – 11.15am (in Classroom 1 opposite
the nursery). There is a crèche which is in the Kids’ Club room behind the dining centre
and open to preschool children. The group is open to any parent who is interested in
spending time with others having a chat and a coffee as well as looking at some relevant
topics such as childcare, internet safety, homework support and other areas. We are
open to any ideas for topics and we also get speakers in to inform us from time to time.

Polio Awareness
Following P3/4WM’s great efforts to
raise money for the Polio Awareness
Campaign a cheque for over £321 was
presented to Mr Douglas Gilmour and
Mr John Boyd from the Auchterarder
and District Rotary Club. The class
organised a ‘Touch of Purple’ Day on 5
March whereby pupils were invited to
wear something purple and/or to
purchase fabric crocuses for £1. The
class also made an excellent
presentation about this terrible disease
to the Secondary Assembly. The money
raised by the school will be doubled by
the Rotary Club and that total in turn will
be tripled by the Bill and Melinda Gates
Foundation.
