Scottish Schools Ski Competition A joint trip for pupils from TCSoA and feeder school Dunning Primary to take part in the Scottish Schools Alpine Ski Competition at the Lecht Ski Centre was organised during the first week of March. This was the first outdoor ski competition for most of the pupils taking part and they entered the novice section. All twelve pupils were awarded medals. In the Secondary team Feorlin S1 won individual silver in the Girls’ section and the Secondary Mixed Team won a bronze medal. The team consisted Feorlin, Gordon, Harry and William, all S1 pupils. The Primary teams from Dunning won several individual medals and their teams won gold and silver. The gold medal Primary team from Dunning later took part in the Scottish Schools Final at The Caingorms. Website Contact us Twitter Karate Congratulations to Kristian P4 who won the Junior Grading Trophy at a grading competition in Perth earlier this month. Kristian beat eighty other players to take the title. At the British Karate Championships in Leeds on 22 March several of our pupils won medals. Blair Wighton S2 and Melissa Thomson P5 won Gold medals; Struan Steptoe S2, Donald McGhee S2, Eveline McGhee S4 and Euan McGhee S5 also won a number of Silver and Bronze medals. A fantastic acheivement - well done! Sport Relief 2014 The PE Department held two events in aid of Sport Relief 2014 - the first was a Pupil v Former Pupil Basketball Match which the Pupils won 19 - 12. The second event was the Sport Relief Beep Test Challenge, an event for both pupils and staff. Well done to all of those who were brave enough to take part. The results were: Winning Male Pupil - Hamish McMullan S5 - Stage 14.1 Winning Male Staff - Mr Crawford, Teacher of Science - Stage 12 Winning Female Pupils - Beth Streets S2, Ellie Williams S3 and Jessica Zajda S5 - Stage 9 Winning Female Staff - Mrs Tramontanas, Teacher of PE - Stage 10 There was great support from pupils and staff and a total of £113 was raised.
