a stage in forty years, but acted
frequently in her youth, even (in a
single community theater season)
playing Witch in three different
productions: Hansel & Gretel,
The Wizard of Oz, and
Macbeth. Grayla seems like a
perfect re-entry. She would like
to thank Chuck Hinz, Ariel
Francoeur, Mary Nighswander,
and Bud and Phyl Ashcraft for
agreeing, at many different points
in her life, that acting is a
wonderful thing to be doing.
Kathryn Huang (Feeding)
Kathryn has been a volunteer in
TCR’s costume department, both
in construction and on costume
crew, since Spamalot. She is
excited to be on the other side
of the stage for the Underground
Festival! Kathryn last played the
title role in Rodgers &
Hammerstein’s Cinderella for the
Quad City Music Guild. When
not around the theater, Kathryn
loves to create costumes and
spend time playing video games
with her husband and two
teenage daughters.
Mia Huxley (Home is Where the
Heart Is, The Last Rodeo) Mia
spends most of her time play-
ing video games, re-watching
all seven seasons of Buffy, and
reading comic books. Theater is
also super important to her, but
mostly the video games thing.
Speaking of which, has anyone
out there beaten the new Tomb
Raider yet? Mia is totally stuck
on the last level and could really
use tips.
Lydia Jennissen (The Dictator’s
Daughter) Lydia is a Freshman at
Prairie Point; this is her first (and
hopefully not last) year in the
Underground. She does work in
Cedar Rapids as well as some
in Coralville and occasionally
in Iowa City. She has enjoyed
working with her marvelous cast
for the past couple weeks and
hopes to be able to work with
them again soon! “Enjoy the
show!”

Zach Kelchen (The Five-Fifteen,
For the Care and Control of the
Insane, I Put a Spell On You)
Zach is excited (aren’t they
always?) to be in his second
production at TCR. Riding on the
tails of A Christmas Story: The
