MEET THE PARTICIPANTS
JESSICA ABDONEY
THE NIGHT THE LIGHTS WENT
OUT IN NASA
This is Jessica’s first time acting in
the Underground New Play Festival.
Her last show was TCR’s production
of The Crucible, as Mercy Lewis.
She is so excited to share this
hilarious show, and be a part of
such a great cast!
THERESA ALT
THE COUNSELORS
Theresa has been appearing on
Eastern Iowa stages since 2001.
Recent shows include Sense and
Sensibility at Giving Tree Theater
and A Christmas Story at TCR.
When not on stage, you may find
her writing a novel, playing the
organ, dancing, or helping people
get back on their feet, working as
a physical therapist at Linn Manor.
Theresa is thrilled to help bring a
new script to life for the very first
time.
BRETT BORDEN
THEODOSIA
Brett is thrilled to be joining the
Underground for the first time. By
day, he works as a direct service
professional for Abbe Health. He
would like to thank his family for all
their support!
DIETRICH EBLE
THE ALLEY BETWEEN 2ND AND
3RD STREET
Dietrich is excited to make his
theatrical debut as part of the
Underground New Play Festival at
FESTIVAL | theatrecr.org
TCR. He has always liked going
backstage and jumped at the
chance to play a pigeon. When
he’s not flexing his acting chops, he
enjoys playing with his friends and
annoying his sister. He’s on YouTube
way too often, and if you ask nicely,
he might let you subscribe to his
channel.
JEREMY EBLE
THE ALLEY BETWEEN 2ND AND
3RD STREET/THE EXCEPTIONAL
LITTLE DONKEY/I MARRIED A
NUN
Jeremy is ecstatic to be back in
the Underground Festival as a
playwright and director! This is
his fourth year participating in
the Festival, and his sixth season
volunteering at TCR. He’s really
looking forward to all of the new
shows and can’t wait for audiences
to see the work everyone has put
into them.
