AUSTIN LAUTERWASSER
RUDY
Having taken a few years away
from theatre, Austin is welcomed by
this talented cast. He is very excited
to do what he loves and is grateful
to be in a show at TCR. He thanks
his friends and family for the love
and support!
ROB MERRITT
CAPTAIN
Rob is a writer, actor, and filmmaker
who has performed in numerous
TCR productions over the years, and
last appeared as John Proctor in The
Crucible. He is honored to help tell
this story.
AARON MURPHY
HORST
Aaron is an interior designer in
Cedar Rapids and serves on the
board at ImpactCR, Theatre Cedar
Rapids, and the Murphy Memorial
Charity. He is quite proud to be part
of this tremendously talented crew
and powerful story. He is grateful
to Matthew for trusting him with the
role of Horst. Aaron sends his love
to Brian, Coco, and Diane.
KERRY PATRICK
UNCLE FREDDIE/GUARD
Kerry is very proud to be working
with the very talented cast of Bent.
You may have seen him before
at The Giving Tree (Peter & the
Starcatcher, Blithe Spirit), Brucemore
Classics (As You Like It, Lysistrata),
and The Foundry Performance

DREW POWELL
GUARD
Drew is a newcomer to the TCR
stage. He was involved in theater
and dance from elementary school
into college. Drew is currently
finishing his final semester of law
school and plans to work in Cedar
Rapids after graduation. He is
originally from Wellman, Iowa, but
currently lives in the Czech Village
neighborhood of Cedar Rapids with
his fiancé, Ben, and their two dogs,
Lola and Griffin.
BEN ROBERSON
OFFICER/GUARD
Ben is an attorney in Cedar Rapids.
In his spare time, he enjoys playing
with his dogs - Lola and Griffin - and
(slowly) renovating his home. Bent is
Ben’s first performance with TCR. He
would like to thank his fiancé, Drew,
for putting up with his increasingly
complex schedule.
KYLE SHEDECK
MAX
Kyle has been in a few shows at
TCR, a handful of shows at Giving
Tree Theater, and a show at RHCR
Theater. In his free time, he enjoys
playing guitar, writing music, and
spending time with his two kids.
