meet the cast GRANT BLADES MARTY NORTON BRETT BORDEN KERRY JAMES PATRICK BENJAMIN/LEWIS/CLOWN Kerry couldn’t be happier to be part of such a talented group of actors. When he’s not on stage at TCR, The Giving Tree, Shores Event Center, or Brucemore, you can find him making ice cream, knitting, or on the couch writing code next to his dog. Kerry would like to thank Dori and Bosco for always being happy to see him come home. SCOTTY Grant has been steadily playing roles since his Kirkwood days back in 2015- 16. More recently he has appeared in Giving Tree’s production of Our Town and TCR’s production of Shakespeare in Love. Subsequently he will be in Of Mice and Men with the Classics at Brucemore. Grant would like to thank Marty and Cherryl and the cast for being a joy to work with, and David for teaching him how to “pour on the charm!” DEREK/ZOMBIE BUTLER/MASKED MAN Brett is thrilled to join the amazing cast of Ripcord at TCR. He was last seen as Alfred P. Doolittle in My Fair Lady. Brett would like to thank David for this wonderful opportunity. He would also like to thank Angie and his family for all their love and support. KATHRYN HUANG COLLEEN/WOMAN IN WHITE Kathryn is thrilled to be back on stage in the Grandon! Most recently, she was seen at MirrorBox in Luna Gale and as Dotty in Noises Off at Giving Tree. Kathryn has also been the costume designer for Revival Theatre Company (9 to 5), CR Opera (Grant Wood), and TCR (Intimate Apparel). Kathryn also does alterations and sewing for Odd Blonde Duck Sewing. Her deepest thanks goes out to David, Amy, and her castmates for this experience! 26 MARILYN DUNNE Marty has been playing on area stages for the past 25(ish) years, OBVIOUSLY starting when she was 4(ish). She is delighted to add Marilyn Dunne to the 90(ish) crazy and challenging bag of characters that she has been so very privileged to inhabit. Love and thanks to this cast and crew for the giggles, to David for the opportunity and his sweet guidance, and the pure joy of playing with her bestie, Cherryl. “xoxo D, J & A” CHERRYL MOON THOMASON ABBY BINDER Cherryl’s first role at TCR was in 1961. Over the years, she has appeared onstage many more times at TCR, as well as in the Classics at Brucemore, at the Old Creamery, and at Iowa Theatre Artist Co. in Amana. She has also served as Assistant Director on more than 50 productions. When not on stage, her favorite role is “GraMoon” or “MaMoon” or “Moon” (depending on who you talk to!) to her granddaughters. “I’m sending much love and appreciation to my fabulous family and to my awesome theatre pals for their love and support. Appearing in Ripcord with my BFF is certainly a highlight of my long theatrical career.” • theatrecr.org
