meet the cast ZACH BECKMAN FINCH/SPOT CONLON Zach figured he’d dance more as a Newsie than as a statue in The Hunchback of Notre Dame. He joined up to get more experience tap dancing and couldn’t be more stoked to bring you volume, energy, and very fast feet! He thanks Janelle Lauer for throwing him face-first at this gnarly show. In his spare time, he teaches Lindy Hop with his company, 5 Seasons Swing (TCR sponsored!). All the love to his love, Jessica! LEVI BOSTON-KEMPLE ALBERT Levi is a fourth-year Trumpet major and Theater minor at the University of Iowa. His previous credits include Mark in Oklahoma! And the ensemble in Godspell. Outside of TCR’s Newsies, Levi is a fourth-year member of the Hawkeye Marching Band and Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia, the men’s music fraternity. He currently serves as their chapter’s Province Delegate. Levi would like to thank his family and friends for supporting him. BRANDON BURKHARDT RACE Brandon is thrilled to perform in his first TCR production! A UI sophomore majoring in Vocal Music/Theatre, he has performed in over 40 productions in IA, Chicago, WI, NYC, Canada, and the UK. Recent roles: Soldier (Sunday in the Park with George), Beast (Disney’s Beauty and the Beast), Terry (Sideshow), Tony (West Side Story), Valjean (Les Misérables), and Scarecrow (The Wizard of Oz). Notable roles include Mark in RENT, Princeton in Avenue Q, and the Baker in Into the Woods (UNI), Jordan in Significant Other and Dickon in The Secret Garden (Giving Tree), and just wrapped production on The Hunchback of Notre Dame as Quasimodo (TCR). “Excited for the opportunity to seize the day!” JOSIE FISCHELS BOWERY BEAUTY/NUN Josie is a sophomore at the University of Iowa studying Journalism and Theater, and is like totally stoked to be part of a production that perfectly combines her two interests. This is her second show at TCR. When she isn’t doing theater, Josie is either out hunting stories for the newspaper, being mediocre at playing tennis, or watching Brooklyn Nine-Nine. She hopes you enjoy the show! JENNIFER FORD MEDDA LARKIN Jen is so excited to be back on the TCR stage after a long hiatus to focus on her favorite role of Mom. She wants to thank Amy and Janelle so much for the great opportunity! Jen has been on stage recently in the Cedar Rapids Follies and in RTC’s production of Victor/Victoria. She is an Operations Manager for TCS and mom to five great kids! Special thanks to Matt for his constant support and all her loving family! NEWSIES • theatrecr.org
