THE CAST
Nick Arceo - Nick is thrilled to be a part of this
amazing show. This is his fourth production
at TCR. He was most recently seen on this
stage last summer in Spring Awakening. This
fall, Nick will be starting his senior year as a
mustic theatre major at Viterbo University in
La Crosse, Wisconsin. Nick’s favorite roles
there have included Jason in Ordinary Days,
Bazzard in The Mystery of Edwin Drood and in
the fall, he will be playing Pippin in Pippin. He
would like to thank his family for their support
and this great directing team for giving him this
opportunity.
Erika Bailey - Erika is thrilled to be participating
in her first TCR show. As a junior at Solon High
School, she has also appeared in her school’s
productions of The Wizard of Oz as Auntie
Em, Anything Goes as Bonnie, Into the Woods
as The Baker’s Wife, and a community theater
production of The Little Mermaid as Ariel. She
thanks TCR for the amazing opportunity and
looks forward to what the future holds!
Maria Bellows - Maria can’t contain her
excitement at being in her first production at
Theatre Cedar Rapids. She is a student at
Brigham Young University, studying wildlife
and wildlands conservation with a minor in
music. She loves camping, hiking, kayaking,
horseback riding, and anything to do with
music, theatre, or animals.
Aaron Berta - Aaron is thrilled to be in Les
Misérables! Although this is Aaron’s first
time on the TCR stage, he enjoys coming to
TCR productions and has been in four school
musicals. He collects antiques, enjoys singing
and playing piano. His favorite color is
“camouflage”. Aaron would like to thank
his four siblings for putting up with months of
singing Les Miz songs at the top of his lungs.
Finally, he would like to thank God for this
wonderful story of redemption and grace.
Aaron Brewer - Aaron is excited to be a part of
this epic show, marking his eighth production
here at TCR. Previous credits include Sweeney
Todd, RENT, White Christmas, Jesus Christ
Superstar, Bloody, Bloody Andrew Jackson,
The Wizard of Oz, and The Wedding Singer.
An Iowa City native, he has also performed
with ICCT (Camelot, Wonderful Town, South
Pacific), Dreamwell Theatre (A View From
the Bridge) as well as with Cedar Rapids
Opera Theatre (Carmen). Mr. Brewer studied
musical theatre at Viterbo University before
graduating with a degree in Conservation
Management from Upper Iowa University. He
currently works as a draft technician in the
craft beer business. “Lots of love to Hannah
and my family and friends in attendance and a
huge thank you to the directing team, creative
team, and the TCR staff and board for making
this possible”.
Jay Burken - Jay is so excited to be a part of Les
Misérables! This is one of his favorite shows,
and he is so excited to be in it for the second
time (though high school barely counts!).
He thanks the directing team endlessly for
casting him again, especially after seeing
the AMAZING talent at auditions! You have
probably seen Jay in other shows here at
TCR including, but not limited to Jesus Christ
Superstar, Our Town, and Sweeney Todd. He
hopes you enjoy the show!
