FROM THE DIRECTOR
IT’S CHRISTMAS: THE MOST
MAGICAL, JOYFUL, PERFECT
AND LOVE-FILLED TIME OF
THE YEAR. RIGHT?? I suppose
that is what we try and create
(especially for children) but the
reality is it can feel stressful,
overwhelming and like a whole
lot of work. The holidays can be a
tricky time for many people. There
can be unrealistic expectations,
complicated family situations and
the extra pain of missing those
we’ve lost. So, how does one put
together a holiday cabaret to
celebrate the season and entertain
it’s audience when the art of
cabaret performing is built on
honesty and authenticity? Well,
we’ve approached it much like
we all approach the holiday itself
— with humor, tradition, silliness,

sentiment, nostalgia, craziness,
laughter, thoughtfulness — and just
a touch of longing for days gone
by and those who are no longer
with us.
You will hear a few of the much
loved traditional songs of Christmas
but you will also hear a lot of
music that you may not have heard
before — music that runs the gamut
of emotions that reflect our holiday
experiences and make us laugh.
We are so happy to share our
songs and stories with you and
hope that you leave feeling ready
to embrace the whole holiday
experience.
