TCR Playbills A Christmas Story, The Musical Playbill | Page 23
Tricia Waechter (Ensemble)
Tricia is elated to be performing
at TCR for the first time. Her
theatre background includes
show choir, concert choir, and
theatre at Waterloo West High
School, Women’s Chorus at
UNI, and stage crew at Littleton
Community Theatre in Colorado.
Tricia works as a nurse at the
University of Iowa in Urology
and Women’s Health, and also
loves biking, traveling, reading,
and hiking. She is especially
proud of her amazing family, her
husband, Jeff and their 3 kids,
Charlie, Claire, and Mae for
being so supportive of her
passion for music and theatre!
Sam Waldron (Schwartz/
Ensemble) This is Sam’s second
performance at TCR and he is so
excited to be back on stage. He
previously appeared in Miracle
on 34th Street. Sam is in 8th
grade at Prairie Point Middle
School where he is involved in
choir, band, Comic Book Club,
and LEGO League. Finally, Sam
would like to thank his family for
all their support.
Ian Wolverton-Weiss (Ralphie
Parker) Ian was most recently
seen by Cedar Rapids
audiences as Michael Banks in
TCR’s production of Mary
Poppins. In just this past year
and a half, Ian performed in two
Revival Theatre Company
productions (as Theo in Pippin
and Young Abel in Children of
Eden), was featured as a soloist
in both the Rodgers and
Hammerstein revue and Follies
2015, and he most recently
played the leading role of
Frederic in a production of
Gilbert and Sullivan’s operetta
The Pirates of Penzance at
McKinley Middle School, where
he is a 7th grader. Last year,
Ian participated in McKinley’s
award-winning show choir,
Classic Edition, winning several
solo awards in the process. When
not practicing clarinet or vocals,
he enjoys playing basketball,
soccer, and video games,
traveling, and entertaining his
beloved cat Chloe. Ian hopes
to participate in Classic Edition
again this year and is eager to
continue performing whenever
he can. He thanks everyone who
supports his love of theatre--his
teachers, directors, friends, and
family.
