威夷舉行 (Royal Hawaiian, Honolulu,

Business Discussion & Announcement
1. M atters and issues discussed during last
month’s meeting are hereby approved by the
board.
2. President Report:
WTCC has become corporate member of Taiwan
High Speed Rail. To save your queue time,
WTCC members please purchase your tickets at
Business/Corporate window and tell the booking
office clerk the member identification number
“2008279”. TCCNA suggested to making up
“Marketing Taiwan “visiting party. TCCNA
initiated the fundraising for Hurricane Harvey.
Any donation exceeding $250 will receive
the tax receipts form City of Houston. Please
refer to TCCNA website www.tccna.org for
detail information. NTUAA host Double Tenth
celebration dinner party at Culture Center of
TECOH on 9/30 5:30 p.m. check in and 6:00 p.m.
starts. Please refer details on NTUAA website

3. Committee Report:
● Treasurer: TCC Houston has net income last
fiscal year and will file tax return accordingly.
● Membership Committee: No new member this
month.
● Activity Committee: we will discuss in next
section.
● Communication Committee: We already set
up the testing email account for having e-mail
addresses for Directors. We have communicate
some improvements ideas with the web page
designer and pending receipts of answers.
● Seminar Committee: Investment seminar

4. discussion.
● 4.1 : Investment seminar will be rescheduled to
11/4 and co-hosted with HSCACPAs and AIG
insurance. TCC will sponsor $200 and desert
for the event.
● 4.2 : 2017/1/1 new year party will be held
either at Great Wall Restaurant.
● 4.3: After discussion by Directors, the annual
party will be held one week before the annual
party of Taiwanese Chamber of Commerce of
North America (TCCNA) due to the elections
of both chambers.
5. Topic.
● 5.1 : Tzu Chi Thousands of Helping Hands
musical canceled, the ticket sales will donate
for Hurricane Harvey funds if ticket holders
do not ask for a refund. Tzu Chi will provide
assistance to victims of Hurricane Harvey if
you register with Tzu Chi before 9/30 with
your name, address, phone #, e-mail, FEMA #
(if any), and description of damage.
● 5.2 : Taipei Economic and Cultural Office
(TECO) is hiring for two administrative
assistants. Interested candidate please contact
