TBWA IN THE COMMUNITY. At TBWA we breathe creative life into everything we do because creativity and art are the greatest forms of rebellion in existence. TBWA partnered with Techzim and AMH to bring the first ever Digital Future Conference to Zimbabwe and also teamed up with Roof Top Productions to bring a once in a lifetime, one night only Hamlet theatrical experience. The successful Digital Future conference, held in mid March at the Sango Conference Centre, was the largest gathering of digital minds not only from Zimbabwe but across the continent with speakers from Kenya, Nigeria and South Africa. It was made possible through the sponsorship of Net One and DStv. The conference, a mix of keynote speakers, discussion panels and workshops was well received by the participants as a great platform to discuss all things digital. Speakers included the Deputy Minister of ICT Dr Win Mlambo, NetOne CEO Reward Kangai,Teju Ajani head of content partnerships You Tube for Africa, Denny Marandure CEO of ZOL. The conference also featured insights from self made digital publishers and content creators such as Her Zimbabwe and 263 Chat’s Sir Nigel. Theatre, has been part of Zimbabwe for many years and when Hamlet came to Harare, TBWA did not pass up the opportunity to be part of this historical and creative piece. Daily News and ZiFm partnered with TBWA to bring the one night only Hamlet theatrical experience in Harare. Productions, a TBWA partner. Globe theatre is on a 205 nation world tour up to 2016 with Zimbabwe being the 91st country stop. The ongoing tour is the first of its kind in theatre history and is a historical celebration of the arts. TBWA was able to set new benchmarks while making a difference through these two initiatives.
