All about a Goose
When I awoke one morning
A goose was on my head. I
Asked,” what are you doing
there?”
It looked at me and said…
I was migrating south
But along the way
I flew into the mouth
Of a very dark cave.
When I found my way out
I saw this nice house
Through the window I crept
Just like a mouse.
I found you asleep
When I peeked around your door
And though to myself
“Boy, this is neat,
Your snore is a lion’s roar.”
I heard your roar
And couldn’t pass by
So I made my bed…
Oops, was that your eye?”
This poem contains a metaphor,
the fourth stanza, the last line:
“Your snore is a lion’s roar.”
