Letter from the Desk of Taylion’s Director

The closing of 2013 was a time of
reflection and gratitude. As Team
Taylion worked together to plan what
the coming school year would look
like for you- the valued families who
make this school possible - we were
provided with the opportunity to
consider what aspects of Taylion we
really liked, and what we could do to
make your experience at Taylion
even better.
Some of the ideas that we came up
with included adding new staff
members and a whole new site in
order to be able to serve students
beyond the borders of our current
locations. Our new staff members
make it possible to address common
challenges for students who struggle
in Math and English, and in addition
to facilitating CAHSEE prep classes,
the new staff will be available to help
students in the completion of their
coursework through small group
tutoring and instruction.
In addition, Team Taylion talked
about the importance of family
involvement in order to help shape
this school to become even better.
The need for a strong relationship
between the students’ homes and the
school does not come as a surprise.
In many cases, students enroll in a
school such as Taylion in order to be
able to facilitate that very relationship.

encourage you to take
note of the upcoming events
we have scheduled in order to
help to facilitate the
relationship between Taylion
and your family. Taylion High
Desert Academy strives to
make this the best education
your child can get, and we would love
to see you at any of the many
enrichment activities, small group
instruction class, tutoring, and any
other socialization event that we have
coming up. If you would like to have
more say over the happening of this
school, please consider joining the
Parent Advisory Committee. They
meet every Tuesday at 12:30 at
17738 Nevada Ave, Victorville CA
92395.
