With new initiatives, the Enterprise-wide Business Excellence (BE) team
continues to contribute immensely to our organisation’s transformation
journey. In the past few months, the team has welcomed three new members
who bring with them rich experiences in areas of Margin Analysis and
Enhancement as well as Field Investigations.
Process Documents on Tata Sky
Universe: With the assistance and
cooperation of personnel from the IT
and Human Resource departments,
process documents and related
flowcharts can now be viewed on
Tata Sky Universe. These documents

would enable all employees to
look at various processes under
different functions, any time
and as per their convenience. It
would also contribute majorly in
making our processes leaner and
more efficient, as all stakeholders
can view the processes of other
functions wherein dependencies lie
in execution. More importantly, this
is a useful informative tool for new
hires to understand the business
processes that prevail in Tata Sky
across functions, thereby helping

Management Facilitation
343 processes, initially
documented by EY, were
studied for automation and
improvement opportunities. DMS adopted as centralised
storage area for business
critical information as part
of the automation drive. Perodic process review
mailers circulated in
December 2015 and recently
in June 2016.
Updated process documents
available across funtions via
Tata Sky Universe. 12 processes amended,
signed off and uploaded.
