Taste Of Khaos #4 | Page 5

Proscenium are a 6 piece Symphonic Operatic Power Metal band from Cardiff in the UK. Band members are; Lee Bowen- Frontman/Vocals, Gareth Long- Keyboards, Glyndwr Williams-Lead Guitar, Michael Abbott- Rhythm Guitar, Chris Machin-Bass and Graham Bradley-Drums. Although the band was formed in 2012, we laid dormant while refining our sound and preparing for our breakthrough first single 'The Hangman' in January 2015 combining elements of intense power metal riffs with the elegance and complexity of symphonic backing.

The Proscenium is the frame around the theatre stage and we though it would be a fitting name as Lee, Graham and myself come from theatrical backrounds performing with companies like Welsh National Opera and English National Opera and Phantom Of The Opera where Lee took the role of Piangi, the Italian tenor in London's west end production. He can also be heard on the film soundtrack.

We are planning to release a 5 track EP for Christmas and fans can expect to hear a short clip from one of the tracks very soon.

We are very lucky to have a team full of talented echnicians and are never short of ideas, we all have an input to the material and we are currently working on one of Chris's ideas. Glyn has an incredible talent for transforming musical ideas into something truly spectacular and both Glyn and Mike work very hard to record them to a high standard. We couldn't be happier with the feedback that we have recieved already. The response to our tracks on youtube and soundcloud, aswell as our Twitter and Facebook pages have been incredible.

Our main influences are Nightwish and Kamelot, and our tracks contain theatrical, and typically operatic themes of fantasy, love, and hardship.

We are currently preparing for a short UK tour and will be supporting the bands 'Control The Storm' and 'Desolate Pathway' on November the 13th at the 'Haunt' in Brighton. www.prosceniumband.co.uk https://www.facebook.com/prosceniumband
