Spitanger-Self Titled

The slower jams have some hard rocking elements that strive to endure the test of time. Strong messages, positive yet self empowering stuff at times though that turns on a dime into some insane and truly entertaining fury. The drums even find a way to make a fantastic introduction and presence throughout the album, very crisp yet dynamic. The intro's provide a quick sensation of fun, though when they all finally open up, the gift waiting at the end of the line is a creature of metal wonders. Very unique point of view, but intensely weird lyrics, especially when the different vocals are added in to up the ante, things twist and turn towards an infinite hell. Loved the intense guitar hooks, solos throughout. Multiple good tracks, liked 8 the most.

Revolted Masses-Age Of Descent

Rapid fire guitar riffs continue to rule this album with an iron fist, they are matched perfectly strum for strum with every power wielding crack of the drums. A dark macabre edge soothes the meanest parts of the soul for sure, even the clean parts bring a quality with them that summons what feels like a wake up call to the masses.Endless passion and a deathly overdose of pain even the score, things quickly get out of hand but the controlled chaos always finds a way to deliver the goods just right. One song that had mostly clean parts, and a scorching lead, I felt it interrupted the flow of the album, it seemed like an intro to something or more like a random piece thrown in, I did not understand that. More slithers of bass throughout the album would have been nice, like in the beginning it seemed to waiver as the album went on. Favorite Track is 5, that song sum's this album up perfectly.
