La Crêperie Ker Breizh bestlist

Best All-Day Breakfasts

Brunch offers the best of both worlds, a time to enjoy a mix of breakfast and lunch staples and a good excuse to imbibe a little earlier than usual. When it comes to delightful day-breakers, Winnipeggers are spoiled for choice.
For a spot that shakes up the brunch scene, Clementine delivers. The scene is as electric as the neon script cajoling from the wall“ eat this it will help.” A thick Brussels-style waffle is brightened with blueberry syrup, lemon imbued curd and birthday cake crumble for spectacular crispy bites. Diners are welcomed with the sound of gently playing French folk tunes at La Crêperie Ker Breizh. Crêpe fillings incorporate locally farmed ingredients marrying flavours of Breton countryside with Manitoba’ s bounty. Ridgeland Aqua Farms trout, paired with creamed leeks and tangy dill and lemon sauce in La Poissonniere is divine. German-style pancakes are the main attraction for many loyalists at The Original Pancake House. The best is the giant apple pancake, laden with a bubbling mixture of caramelized cinnamon sugar-coated apples. With this delicacy served all day, it’ s hard to resist the call of tradition. A menu of deli classics and traditional Jewish specialties that are nonpareil at Bernstein’ s Deli. Traditional fare is time-tested, from buttery lox and a thick smear of cream cheese on a Gunn’ s bagel to crispy-fried latkes. Opt for a latke stacker and prepare to open wide for two latkes layered with deli meat( or grilled veggies) eggs and cheese. Named as an homage to a former tenant from the mid 1950s, Modern Electric Lunch now welcomes diners with the sounds of milk steaming at a state-of-the-art electric espresso machine. Red pepper and yogurt sauce act as the base for Chef Patrick’ s revelatory poached Turkish Eggs covered with a kicky chilli crisp oil, and generously garnished with fresh mint, dill, zaatar and sumac.
