E
ach year immediately following the Annual Conference,
Board Members and Staff
debrief together to assess
the educational offerings, exhibits,
venues, food, beverage, and other
conference activities. Staff uses this
information, along with member surveys, to plan the next year’s conference. Based on what we learned from
the previous conferences, volunteers
and staff have been busy planning
this year’s Annual Conference and
we believe that this year’s conference
will be one of our best!
This year’s event in Houston promises to be packed with a multitude
of learning opportunities along with
plenty of time to network with colleagues and friends from across the
state. I have been attending TASBO’s
Annual Conferences for more than
25 years. I am not sure where all
the years went, but I still remember lessons I learned and recognize
connections I made from the first
conferences I attended many, many
years ago. I confess, I never thought
I would officially make it to the “experienced, older, wiser” category.
