The power of Resurrection “ But now Christ is risen from the dead , and has become the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep . For since by man came death , by Man also came the resurrection of the dead . For as in Adam all die , even so in Christ all shall be made alive .” ( 1Corinthians 15:20-22 ) On this day , the whole congregation rejoice at Jesus ’ resurrection . It is not just a great feast , it is Christ who is risen from the dead , destroying death by death . The Almighty gave life to those who are in the tomb . It is the resurrection from the sting of sins of all human beings . Therefore , whoever has faith in God and His power can easily believe in His resurrection . If we accept the teaching of the Holy Bible and the preaching
of our holy fathers , we ourselves can change and change others to a new life that glorifies the name of the Lord . The resurrection of our Lord raised the disciples out of their fear . At every aspect on our life , we can live a resurrected life by following the Lord ’ s commandments . The holy fathers arranged
for us to celebrate the resurrection on a regular basis . In the Agpeya ( The book of prayers ), The prayer of the First Hour commemorates the resurrection of our Lord . Every Sunday , we remember the Lord ’ s resurrection . On the 29th day of every Coptic month , we celebrate the Annunciation , Nativity , and Resurrection of the Lord . Every year we celebrate the Feast of Resurrection for not a day or so like the rest of the feasts but 50 consecutive days . May the Lord God grant us all the blessings of His resurrection to get directed to the path that leads to eternal life .
