Autumn. Muddy wellies. Crispy golden leaves. Red. Brown. Yellow. Not too cold but not too warm either. Heating on, coats on, hats on.
Autumn is such a wonderful time of year, we get to witness the changes of the season as we prepare to start a new beginning in Spring. Autumn is a time for new beginnings for many families too, an important but sometimes difficult change: going to nursery/school for the first
time – or maybe for the umpteenth time, still it can prove emotionally and
phisically challenging. It is absolutely normal. It takes a big adjustment on the part of each family member. We
tried to address this topic in this issue by adding
practical tips on going to school.
Also in this issue, we look at the benefits of cloth nappies, especially with the council's Bin Swap scheme, and of babywearing.; we'll hear from local mums on their experiences of giving birth, cloth nappies and babywearing; we shall look at assisted deliveries, what they are and how to deal with them.
