Filing of COC for 2019 Midterm Elections. Pormal nang naghain ng kani-kanilang kandidatura ang mga nagnanais na tumakbo para sa elekyon

OPISYAL nang nagsimula ang limang araw na paghahain
ng Certificate of Candidacy (COC) para sa mga tatakbo sa
2019 midterm elections.
Kaugnay nito, sa unang araw ng filing, ika- 11
ng Oktubre 2018 sa COMELEC Batangas Provincial
Office, kauna-unahang nagsumite ng kanyang COC ang
kasalukuyang punong lalawigan na si Governor Dodo
Mandanas ganap na alas-otso ng umaga, para sa kanyang
pagnanais na muling mahalal sa ikalawang termino.
Kasama ni Gov. Mandanas ang kanyang mga supporters
na mga naka kulay pulang mga kasuotan.
Sumunod sa nag-file ang kapwa incumbent na
mga mambabatas na sina Congresswoman Ma. Theresa
V. Collantes ng 3rd District at Congresswoman Elenita R.
Ermita-Buhain ng 1st District para muling tumakbo bilang
representative sa Kongreso ng kanilang kinabibilangang
distrito.
Sinundan ito ni Consuelo Malabanan na
kakandidato upang magiging kinatawan ng unang distrito
bilang Board Member.
Naging bahagi rin ng unang araw ng filing si
Lipa City Representative Vilma Santos-Recto para sa
kanyang re-election bid o ikalawang termino sa kongreso.
Sinamahan ito ng kanyang asawa na si Senator Ralph
Recto, mga ilang lokal na opisyal at mga taga-suporta.
Magkakasunod namang naghain ng kani-
kanilang COC sina Laurel Mayor Randy James Amo,
dating bokal Rudy Balba at incumbent Mayor ng Tanauan

ika-12 ng Oktubre 2018 sa Philippine International
Convention Center (PICC) sa Lungsod ng Maynila.
Ginawaran ng digitalcitiesPH Award ang
Pamahalaang Panlalawigan ng Batangas bilang Best
in eGOV Government Inter-Operability Award sa
Province Category dahil sa Electronic Real Property
Taxation and Assessment System na ipinapatupad
at ginagamit ng Provincial Assessor’s Office. Sa
kategoryang ito, binigyang pagkilala ang mga LGUs na
bumuo at gumagamit ng ICT systems na nagpapagana
ng koneksyon sa ibang ICT systems ng ibang mga
tanggapan ng gobyerno, maging nasyunal man ito o
lokal.
Ang digitalcitiesPH ay isang national
flagship program sa pagtutulungan ng Department of
Information and Communications Technology (DICT),
National ICT Confederation of the Philippines (NICP),
ang umbrella organization ng mga information and
communications technology (ICT) Councils sa buong

IPATUTUPAD ang ika-5 Cycle of Closed Season sa taong
ito o ang pagpapahinga ng mga Look ng Balayan, Talin at
Nasugbu na magsisimula sa November 27 at magtatagal
hanggang December 18, 2018.
Kaugnay pa rin ito ng mga proyekto, sa
pangunguna ng Pamahalaang Panlalawigan ng Batangas
at ka-partner ang iba’t ibang sector ng lipunan, para
sa tamang pangangalaga sa kalikasan at likas yaman,
partikular ang baybaying dagat ng lalawigan.
Inumpisahan noong taong 2014 ang programa
bilang inisyatiba sa fisheries management, kung saan
pinapahusay ang coastal protection at pinapalakas ang
fishery resilience.
Ito ang naging paksa ng pagpapupulong noong
ika-9 ng Oktubre 2018 sa Provincial Government –
Environment and Natural Resources Conference Hall sa
pangunguna ng Provincial Government – Environment
and Natural Resources Office (PG-ENRO) at kaibat
ang Department of Environment and Natural Resources
(DENR) at Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources
(DA-BFAR).
Dinaluhan ito ng mga City at Municipal
Agriculturists; City at Municipal Environment and Natural
Resources Officers; Bantay Dagat members mula sa 11
coastal city ng Batangas Province na Balayan, Bauan,
Calaca, Calatagan, Lemery, Lian, Mabini, Nasugbu,
San Luis, Taal at Tingloy; Philippine National Police –
Batangas Police Provincial Office (PNP-BPPO), Philippine
National Police Maritime Group (PNP MG), Philippine
Coast Guard (PCG), Philippine Airforce(PAF), Provicial

Kong hailed as winners
for MMAZM Cycle 3

JEREMIAH LISBO from the Philippines and Yunike
Francesca from Hong Kong was hailed as winners for
Make Me A Zalora Model Cycle 3 held last October 5 at
The Island at the Palace in BGC.
Zalora, Asia’s online fashion destination, returned
with Make Me A Zalora Model, the first ever regional
model scouting competition using social media.
The 2 winners received a paid contract to be the
Face of Zalora 2019 and a 1-year worth of wardrobe items
from Zalora. They will also sign with Upfront Models, the
official Model Agency for MMAZM Cycle 3.
The two winners were selected by a panel of 5
notable industry personalities, Watson Tan, Founder of
UpFront Models Singapore, Ashley Wong Cheng, Head
of Production, Florence Song Oon Hui, Head Stylist both
from ZALORA Malaysia Hub, Christopher Daguimol,
ZALORA Group PR and Social Marketing Director,
and Paulo Campos III, CEO and Founder of ZALORA
Philippines.
MMAZM Cycle 3 was opened to both aspiring
male and female models across the region in six countries
including Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Taiwan,
Indonesia and Philippines.
Participants were encouraged to enter the contest
by uploading their photos on Instagram with the hashtag
#MMAZMCycle3.
12 finalists were chosen from thousands of
aspirants and they were flown to the Philippines for the
Grand Finale of the contest.
