Kampanya kontra tigdas sa

LUNGSOD NG LUCENA, Quezon, (PIA) - Patuloy ang
isinasagawang kampanya ng Integrated Provincial Health Office
(IPHO)- Quezon kontra tigdas sa pamamagitan ng pagbabakuna
sa mga barangay para sa mga batang edad 6 hanggang 59 buwan.

Ayon kay Health Education Promotions Officer Dianne
Marie Mejilla ng IPHO-Quezon, sa ngayon ay may kabuong
bilang na 288 na kaso ng tigdas sa lalawigan ng Quezon at apat
na bata na ang namatay sa tigdas.

Dahil dito, patuloy na nananawagan ang IPHO sa mga
magulang na pabakunahan kontra tigdas ang kanilang mga anak
na may edad na 6 haggang 59 na buwan upang makaiwas sa
tigdas na nakamamatay kapag napabayaan.

“Ang mga batang nakakaranas ng pag-ubo, sipon at
lagnat na sintomas ng sakit na tigdas ay dapat dalhin agad ng mga
magulang sa kanilang pinakamalapit na barangay heath center
upang agad na maturukan ng gamot kontra tigdas,” sabi pa ni
Mejilla.

Nilinaw ni Mejilla na walang bayad ang pagbabakuna
laban sa tigdas sa mga barangay health center.

Ayon sa IPHO, ang tigdas ay karaniwang sakit ng mga
bata na nakakahawa dulot ng measles virus kung saan madali
itong makuha o mailipat sa pamamagitan ng hangin o kaya ay sa
malapitang pakikiharap sa mga taong may sakit na tigdas.

Kabilang sa mga sintomas ng tigdas ay ang pamumula
ng mga mata, pagkakaroon ng ubo at sipon, pananakit ng mata,
panghihina, walang ganang kumain, may rashes at lagnat. (Ruel

MOVE-Quezon elects
new President

LUCENA CITY, Quezon, (PIA)-- Former General Nakar Mayor
Leovegildo Ruzol was elected President of the Men Opposed to
Violence Against Women and Children Everywhere (MOVE)
-Quezon during its recent election of officers at the Ouan’s, the
Farm Resort here.

Outgoing MOVE-Quezon President Engr. Ian Palicpic
urged the new set of officers and members to continue the
campaigns in fighting violence against women and children in
their respective municipalities by conducting different programs/
projects.

“Please continue our programs that we started in
our province and encourage others to become members of this
organization,“ Palicpic said.

Other officers elected include Jose Gerard Aranilla
of PhilHealth-Region-4A as Executive Vice President; Reniel
Bautista of Infanta, Quezon as Vice President for the 1stdistrict
of Quezon; Nino Jerec o De Silva of Candelaria, Quezon as
Vice President for 2nd district of Quezon; Bienvenido Lat Jr.
of Unisan, Quezon as Vice President for 3rd district of Quezon;
Rogelio Zurbano of Lopez, Quezon – Vice President for 4th
district of Quezon; Walter Orijuela of PSA-Quezon as Secretary;
Max Manalo of PGAD-Quezon as Assistant Secretary; Gordon
Jader of Pag-IBIG Fund as Treasurer; SPO3 Victor Beso of
QPPO as Auditor; and Ruel M. Orinday of PIA-Quezon as PRO.

Meanwhile, Provincial Gender and Development
Office head Ofelia Palayan, who will be retiring from the
government service this coming June 2019, encouraged the
members to conduct activities on November 25 to December
12, 2019 in line with the 18 days campaign on violence against
women and children (WAWC).

MOVE-Quezon was organized by the provincial
government of Quezon through the provincial gender and
development office to implement different programs in the
province to end violence against women and children in the

LUNGSOD NG LUCENA, Quezon, (PIA)- Palalakasin o
paiigtingin pa ng pamahalaang panlalawigan ng Quezon sa
pamamagitan ng Tanggapan ng Panlalawigang Beterinaryo at ng
Provincial Rabies Prevention Control and Eradication Committee
(PRPCEC) ang kampanya kontra rabies sa lalawigan ng Quezon.

Sa idinaos na pagpupulong ng PRPCEC sa lungsod
ng Lucena kamakailan, iniulat ni Irene Santiago ng Integrated
Provincial Health Office (IPHO) na may walo katao ang namatay
sa lalawigan ng Quezon noong nakarang taon. Samantala, dalawa
naman ang namatay mula Enero hanggang Marso 10, 2019 sa
lalawigan ng Quezon kung saan ang isa rito ay taga Catanauan,
Quezon habang ang isa naman ay taga Infanta, Quezon.

Dahil dito,

Dr. Flomella Caguicla na mas palalakasin pa ngayon ng
kanilang tanggapan at Provincial Rabies Prevention Control
and Eradication Committee ang kampanya kontra rabies sa
pamamagitan ng pagsasagawa ng anti-rabies vaccination at
veterinary medical mission sa mga bayan sa lalawigan ng
Quezon.

Ang programa ay ipinatutupad kaugnay din sa
pagdiriwang ng “Rabies Awareness Month” ngayong buwan
ng Marso kung saan ang tema ng pagdiriwang ay “Makiisa sa
barangayan kontra rabies, maging responsableng pet owner.”

Samantala, ipinapayo rin ni Dr. Caguicla sa mga taong
nakagat ng aso na hugasan agad sa pamamagitan ng malinis na
tubig at sabon ang parte ng katawan na nakagat ng aso o pusa.

“Ang mga taong nakagat ng aso o pusa ay kailangan
ding pumunta sa pinakamalapit na Animal Bite Treatment
Center upang maagapan o maturukan ng gamot kontra rabies,”
ayon kay Caguicla.

Pinaaalalahanan din ng tanggapan ng panlalawigang
beterinaryo ang mga taong may alagang aso o pusa na maging
responsable sa kanilang mga alaga bilang pakikiisa sa kampanya
