In November of the same year 22,973 books and 3815 pieces of sheet music were removed from the Central Library’s Estonian department to the the State Library. In December the library’s director Aleksander Sibul handed over to the director of the State Library 8890 books which had appeared mainly during the period of independence. In summary on the information of the Central Library 74, 721 books were expunged between 1945 and 1949.
