“I’m not sure why more people don’t come out,” Kohl said.
Third baseman D.J. Peterson, who grew up in Gilbert, went on to play at the University New Mexico and is now with the Seattle Mariners organization and playing in the Fall League, said the low attendance is understandable.
“There’s a lot going on in Arizona in November, especially football,’’ he said.
Peterson said he never attended Fall League games until last year when then went to support a couple of his friends, Kris Bryant with the Cubs and Taylor Lindsey, now with the Padres organization.
“It’s too bad more people don’t come,’’ Peterson said. “There’s a lot good prospects here.”
