The Monthly read is brought to you by Author Susan Dean from Crawfordsville, Indiana, who has written and released two books in the series called, ‘Rise of the Spyres’. The series is a work of fiction about a hidden war between two races; the Spyres and the Telkins, placed in the present day. Both races have powers, the Spyres use them for good and the Telkins use them for evil.
The Author doesn’t hide the fact, that these books are based on her life. Susan is portrayed by Shilo, the main character in the book series. An ex-husband is portrayed by Trax and her husband Danny is being portrayed by Dino. Shilo and Dino meet in the book after the war between the races breaks out. There are many more subtle clues. For instance, Shilo works as a nurse, which she dedicated to the memory of the passing of one of her sisters that was a nurse. She calls it, “Free therapy after a sorted childhood, abusive relationships and the loss of children and family members. If you don’t personally go through the experience of family conflict, and the unspoken; you’ll never be able to move on in your life. If I can help any person struggling, when they read this series, I think they will be able to take on the world”.
