source of revenue. The Hillsborough County Bar Association building is in Downtown Tampa, along the waterfront. It also rents its building out for weddings, receptions, and other events as another source of revenue. If those local, voluntary bar associations can accomplish this task, then so can the Atlanta Bar Association.
Other initiatives I propose for this bar year include the following: THE ATLANTA BAR ASSOCIATION LEADERSHIP ACADEMY
This is the inaugural year of The Atlanta Bar Association Leadership Academy. This Leadership Academy will develop young attorneys’ leadership skills to become more effective leaders in the Bar, at work, and in the community. The Academy will offer six CLE training sessions at which legal, corporate and community leaders will present and share their skills and knowledge to participants; and participants will be provided with community service opportunities, in-house counsel visits and experience, and bar participation opportunities. Atlanta area attorneys who have practiced for less than 10 years are eligible.

The Atlanta Bar Association Podcast will: 1. Build the Atlanta Bar Association brand worldwide; 2. Provide educational and interesting content to a broad audience; 4. Build enthusiasm for the Atlanta Bar Association; 5. Market the Atlanta Bar Association to a broad audience; 6. Provide an outlet to recognize 100 % Club members and corporate sponsors; and 7. OBTAIN ONE OR MORE CORPORATE LEGAL DEPARTMENTS TO JOIN THE 100 % CLUB
Currently, no corporate legal department is a member of the Atlanta Bar Association’ s 100 % Club. Other top 10 metro area voluntary bar associations that have a 100 % club, have corporate legal departments in their 100 % club. I propose that we do the same. This will take resolve. We can, and will, rise to the occasion to accomplish these goals and initiatives.
