A Word from Ethan Knott New Board Chair of the Atlanta Council of Younger Lawyers( ACYL)
in Atlanta. We are also focused on increasing the accessibility and reach of our programming, from panels on emerging legal trends to service projects that address real needs in our community. Through these efforts, the ACYL continues to cultivate a diverse, engaged, and empowered pipeline of future leaders within the Atlanta Bar Association.
As we look to the future, we invite all eligible members of the Atlanta legal community to get involved with the ACYL. The strength of our organization lies in the energy and enthusiasm of its members, and we believe that every young lawyer has something valuable to contribute. By joining ACYL, you ' re not just expanding your network or sharpening your professional skills— you’ re helping to shape the future of the legal profession in Atlanta.

As a new lawyer in Atlanta, it can be challenging to figure out how or where to get involved in the legal community. But the Atlanta Council of Younger Lawyers( ACYL) is here to help. The ACYL is open to attorneys who are 36 years of age or younger or who have been in practice less than three years. The ACYL’ s members participate in networking, continuing legal education, and community service events. The ACYL’ s goal is to help integrate the Atlanta Bar Association’ s leaders of tomorrow into the organization today.

Building on this foundation, the ACYL is committed to creating meaningful opportunities for young attorneys to grow professionally, personally, and civically. In the year ahead, we plan to expand our mentorship initiatives, offering new lawyers the chance to connect with seasoned practitioners who can provide guidance, encouragement, and insight into the practice of law
