The role and importance of Bar Associations ? and with the Atlanta Bar ?
The importance is two-fold . First , it collaborates with sister organizations like Gate City Bar , GAPABA , Stonewall Bar , etc . The second important benefit is the Bar Association gives younger lawyers the space to find their voice with the rare opportunities to serve our legal community .
What message do you give to the incoming leadership ?
Have Fun ! While this role is extremely time-demanding , it is also the most rewarding role I ’ ve had . It has been the honor of my professional career to serve and lead this Bar Association .
Passing the gavel and your view of the Atlanta Bar ?
The Association is in good hands going forward . I am excited for this new team of leaders coming in with Emily Ward and Ty Brown .
What was the best advice you received on the way into your term ?
Just go with it : you can only prepare so much and then reality takes over . The key point is to pivot when circumstances change .
