For legal stuff, ask. Avoid using names or other identifiers. Treat open AI like a first-year associate( no disrespect intended). You may get a great idea. Just make sure to confirm the law is good. The closed AI products like Lexis and Westlaw are great. They can help you write. They can produce quick research on topics you are less familiar with. They can analyze your opponent’ s brief, including identification of bad citations, arguments that are not supported by citations, etc. These platforms can even provide a crude first draft of a response brief.
