IN THE PROFESSION Looking Ahead As the course continues to gain popularity, there ' s already talk of expanding it into experiential learning opportunities like externships with apparel companies, intellectual property firms, or sports agencies. Professor Ivory also hopes to partner with local schools or nonprofits to create pipeline programs for students interested in sneaker design, business, and law.
For now, though, Sneaker Law is doing exactly what it set out to do: inspiring the next generation of lawyers to think differently. After releasing“ Sneaker Law V1” in September 2020, Anand and Goldstein released“ Sneaker Law V2 on September 10, 2024.
Whether students go on to represent athletes, draft IP protections for creators, or work as in-house counsel for a fashion label, the course ensures they have the tools— and the mindset— to make a real impact.
