Marietta-based Atomic-6 develops lightweight composite Space Armor tiles that protect spacecraft from orbital debris. Its tiles were selected for SpaceX’ s Transporter-18 rideshare mission, giving the firm a direct path to higher production volumes and additional flight opportunities as launch rates climb. Eastman-based Kencoa Aerospace supplies precision-machined components and specialty materials, including titanium alloys linked to the Dragon program and other space hardware. Greater flight cadence and satellite replenishment translate into steadier, larger orders that can support facility expansion and workforce growth at both firms.
