If you were to move from the United States, what country would you live in and why?

I would like to go live in semi-rural France and run a small shop or cafe. Between the culture, music, wine, and obsession with my favorite food( butter), I think I’ d be very happy there!

This is something I’ ve been thinking about quite a bit recently. I’ ve narrowed it down to two areas: Europe and Australia / New Zealand. Europe for the ease of exploring so many different cultures, landscapes, foods and histories and then Australia / New Zealand because it is a place I have always wanted to visit but have not yet had a chance!

My great grandparents immigrated from Ireland to the United States in 1915. They lived in Counties Monaghan and Cavan. The Irish folk song Galway Bay has been passed down for generations with our family. In keeping with those lyrics,“ I will as my God to make my heaven in that dear land across the Irish sea.”
