John Spence Girls football teams recently competed at the annual Level 2 Schools Games competition held at the Soccerdome.
They had represented North Tyneside last year at the Level 3 schools games competition, eventually winning the Gold medal. Once again they proved to be too good for the opposition and beat all the other schools from the North Tyneside to retain the title.
Two Year 7 teams also competed in the competition for the right to represent North Tyneside at the upcoming Level 3 Schools Games
Both teams played extremely well in the competition and the first team made it through to the final against St. Thomas More. Unfortunately they were beaten 3 v 2 on the day, but had still earned the right to be one of the schools to represent North Tyneside at the Level 3 competition.
The Year 7 First team consisted of; Mia Wallace, Lucy McIntosh, Beth Waterston,
Holly Chatterton, Ruby Duffy, Elle Walker and Ella Thompson.
The Year 7 Second team consisted of; Saffy Hogarth, Gemma Bailey, Rachel Caygill,
Kiera Johnsen, Summar Scott, Kate McIntosh, Rebecca Dack and Leah Williams.
