Tell us about your shop and the idea behind it.
My business started by complete accident. My husband had given me a
neckla ce and I wanted earrings to go with it. I couldn’t find any I liked and
ended up in a bead shop creating my own.
What are your favorite design/product trends?
I don’t necessarily have a favorite design (I love them all) but I do gravitate
toward the simpler pieces that can be dressed up or can go casual. I also
lean toward creating designs around labradorite gemstones. It’s such a
beautiful and versatile stone.
How has your process and relationship to your work evolved?
When I first started, I just did simple beaded pieces but the more I got into
it, I wanted to create more artistic jewelry. I started reading about different
techniques and taking classes. Believe me, I’ve had a lot of flops but there’s
something so satisfying in the creative process. The more I learn, the larger
the design scope becomes.
