David Bez
No stranger to Tubes, David’s work draws inspiration from the urban, industrial and
pastoral landscapes in and around his home. In the works shown in TAG# - Tubes have
selected the artists ‘Deconstruction’ series of work - These ‘fantasy’ paintings demonstrate
David’s fabulous imagination and pure talent - The artist utilises a Faux Vitrial process,
hand embellishing with silicates and resins. This process adds a depth and richness to the
paintings, giving a unique and exclusive finish to the work.
Tubes editor interviewed David for the main magazine, it was during the interview where the
artist intimated that his unique ‘imagination’ stems from the fact that David was encouraged
to paint from an early age by his Mother, (who still retained what he painted from the age
of four, which shows a natural ability to use line and colour. Today, David is now a full time
working artist, illustrator and glass designer who finds working and experimenting in these
contrasting areas both challenging and exciting.
