What I personally find fascinating is the approach she has to form and colour.
Her education background was in photography and fashion. After university she found herself in
London earning a wage (in fashion photography) to pay her rent, but not actually doing what she
wanted to do - that was exactly what she is doing now in Liverpool - and that is painting.
The artist moved from London back to her home city and began creating without delay. The cost of
living and the more favourable rental on studio premises making life as a full time artist possible. It is
not unreasonable to conclude that the contemporary flow of high toned colour lines, evident in fashion,
may have influenced her colour palettes, it will be interesting to see how the artist develops her
rhythms, colour and style of work.
