Airline Station Agent
An airline station agent is responsible for promoting and selling air travel, preparing itineraries, computing fares, issuing refunds, preparing and issuing tickets, checking baggage. Answer inquiries regarding general travel information. Escort passengers from terminal gates to and from aircraft ensuring a safe path. Responsible for loading and unloading cargo from a plane and transporting cargo between terminals and aircraft.
Ramp Service
Moving luggage to and from the aircraft to the baggage area in the airport. Loading the airplane compartments. Operating motorized equipment such as belt loaders, lift trucks and bag carts. Operating air start units, cleaning the aircraft. Help customers file claims on damaged or missing luggage. At some airports you may be required to help move the plane into a parking position or direct the pilot where to move. The job is very physical and requires lifting of heavy objects repeatedly. Driver’s license, typing communication skills.
