Tag My School Magazine exists to tell the untold stories of everyday heroes in our schools, colleges and varsities. The amount of positive news happening in our schools surpasses the bad that often
get reported by the mainstream media. TMS aims to discover hidden treasure in deep rural schools and marginalized township schools/colleges. Our content is designed to showcase skills and talents that go unnoticed from innovations to entrepreneurship. Connecting the African continent is at the center of our ambition and desire; we believe that xenophobia will not end if we do not integrate African interest in our schools. Through our Africa Connect feature we are on route to achieving that ambition.
Primarily the magazine intended to serve as means to Inform, Educate and Entertain. Previously disadvantaged schools are still largely disadvantaged. while Former Model C schools have an advantage from previous prioritization therefore have their own publications that help promote the image of the school. Township and Rural Schools do not enjoy the same privileges, consequently have to rely on mainstream media which is not easily accessible and when accessed, stories reported are not often positive and encouraging rather incident based.
