The Annual Trek4Mandela Kilimanjaro expedition

In South Africa, the annual Trek4Mandela Mount Kilimanjaro expedition took place in July 2017 for their on Tata Madiba's birthday on a #KeepingAGirlChildInSchool initiative. This is done in honour of Tata Nelson Mandela who dedicated 67 years of his life to ensure that South Africa becomes better and educated. One of the coolest things about Tata is that he loved children so much and education was at the center of everything he told us to cherish.

A group of mountain climbers climb Mount Kilimanjaro in hope to raise funds to ensure that no school girl misses school because they have no sanitary pads. The expedition has produced many heroes who have sacrificed their very lives during the climb. In 2016 the climb ended tragically with a loss of Motor Racing Sport Champion Gugu Zulu who selflessly climbed Mount Kilimanjaro for a good course in spite of not feeling well. Such sacrifice and dedication from the Zulu family saw Mrs. Letshego Zulu going back to climb the mountain in 2017, motivated by her husband's sacrifice as well the amazing course this expidition stands for. This together with the effective hygiene will ensure the development

and growth of thousands of young South African Women. According to trek4mandela.com the expedition seeks to:

•Support as many underprivileged girls as possible with sanitary pads.
