At 11 years of age, one of her Poems named Valentine’s Day was published at the Poetry Institute Of Africa under the Anthology “Fairytale moon” . Later on at the age of 16 those writing skills developed into rap.

The Isgubhu rapper is one of the top lyrical female rappers in South Africa. Her style reminds us of another incredible American female Rapper Missy Elliot.

While everyone is obsessed with Trap music, this rapper keeps it poetic and sizzled with hot beats. Her rap inspiration comes from the G.O.A.T Tupac Shakur, Legendary Brenda Fassie and another Great in Bob Marley, no wonder her music has elements of greatness! Her stage presence and attitude in which she delivers her stuff makes her one of the upcoming greats in SA.

She made her mark in UK under the Branson Scholarship programme at Stowe School Buckingham where her performance took a runner-up position. She also won (Best in Rap) award at The DCS showdown East District in UK 2011. Such achievements at the world stage shows that she has what it takes to become a global super star.

Just like the artists who inspired her, Gigi’s lyrics contain deeper meaning in life and she raps about things that everyone can identify with, hence the United Nations selected her to participate in the UN Woman Empowerment Campaign.

She is a complete package that is why she is our celebrity crush.
