LADIES BUSINESS
Whilst popular beliefs claim that war is something for men, in the last 70 years of military history the women of the British Army proved such claim to be wrong.
The most recent show of female strength was in Afghanistan during operation Herrick and the Helmand Campaign. The British Army deployed more than 75.000 female troops into the Afghan desert, most assigned to Royal Engineers or Royal Medical Corps. The British girls aren't the only though, it is expected that from all the ISAF presence in Afghanistan, 38% of its forces are comprised of women.

A study by the Ministry of Defence expects that by 2020 the amount of women in the British Armed forces as a whole will be the same as men. Another study by the Australian Army showed that most confirmed kills on Afghan grounds from 2010 to 2014 were made by female troops. The majority being responses to ambushes.
