Gigante Grupo Inmobiliario built its Gran Terraza
Lomas Verdes (Lomas Verdes) lifestyle center in
Mexico and opened its doors in 2010, but getting
shoppers to come was a challenge given the stiff
competition coming from other centers. So with the
2011 holiday season just around the corner, the mall
decided to strengthen its identity by highlighting its
décor program, live entertainment, Santa photos and
new-to-the-market brands.
From October through December, Lomas Verdes
delivered a multi-platform marketing strategy that
comprised of promotional offers, including a big
push for gift card sales, and an advertising campaign
whose creative offered a modern twist on Christmas
and gave shoppers a reason to try something new.
The center’s Shake the Christmas theme led to an
explicit and effective call to action: “Christmas will
no longer be the same…Don’t change your gift list,
change your shopping center.”
