What is a Chamber of Commerce ?
The Table Rock Lake Chamber of Commerce is simply an organization of businesses and individuals who have agreed to band together for the good of the area ’ s economy . The Table Rock Lake Chamber of Commerce works in four main areas : tourism marketing , business promotion , advocacy , and economic development . It is through these four areas of work that the Chamber holds significance in the fabric of the local Stone County economy . We are proud to have been voted the # 1 Chamber of Commerce in Southwest Missouri several years in a row !
Tourism Marketing As the Destination Marketing Organization ( DMO ) for Stone County , the Table Rock Lake Chamber of Commerce spends hundreds of thousands of dollars annually to promote the area to visitors .
Business Promotion The Table Rock Lake Chamber of Commerce provides networking , advertising , and educational opportunities to help our members connect with one another and improve their businesses , and each year we send hundreds of thousands of outbound clicks to our members ’ websites in addition to direct business leads .
Advocacy and Representation The Table Rock Lake Chamber of Commerce serves as a powerful advocate for the business community . We represent the collective voice of our members , engaging on the local , state , and national levels on issues affecting businesses .
Economic Development The Table Rock Lake Chamber of Commerce is taking the lead on Economic Development in Stone County . We created Launch Stone County , a formal , 5-year strategic plan to bolster economic development throughout the county , and raised $ 1.2 million for its implementation .
