Busy year for dance team
The TA Dance Company drew rave reviews for its two night Winter Dance Concert in January. The shows featured dance performances in contemporary, jazz, modern, lyrical, and musical theater.
The Dance Company wraps up the school year with“ TA’ s Greatest Hits, Vol. 2” on May 20- 21.
The Dance Company traveled to New York City during February vacation. The trip included a special masterclass at the Ripley Greer studios with TA alumnus Camden Loeser ' 14. Camden is the director of the esteemed Cole Jazz company and travels the world teaching the Jack Cole methodology. " This was a wonderful experience for our students that they will remember forever!” said Emma( Arenstam) Campbell’ 04, dance instructor and Arts Department chairperson.

TAMS performs a childhood classic
The Thornton Academy Middle School Drama Club took audiences down the original rabbit hole with a terrific performance of“ Alice in Wonderland Jr.” The musical, based on the 1865 children’ s novel, featured a cast and crew of more than 50 TA students from grades 6- 8. The performance was directed by TA Drama teacher Katie Buttarazzi’ 16.
