Dear Alumni , Parents , and Friends of Thornton Academy ,
The connections we form during our middle and high school years often last a lifetime . Connections to our classmates , passions we uncover in the classroom , and talents showcased on the court or stage , all shape the people we are and the lives we lead as adults .
At Thornton Academy , a connected and supportive community is a hallmark of the TA experience . We intentionally work to build this environment by providing a breadth of opportunities that allow our students to be who they are and become who they want to be .
In this issue of Postscripts , we highlight these connections .
Our cover story shares an update about Chloe Eisenhaur ‘ 13 , who is wrapping up her residency in pediatric dentistry in Virginia . Chloe ’ s passion for helping others dates back to her days at Thornton Academy .
Anita ( Binette ) Collpitts ‘ 54 gives us a glimpse at TA nearly 70 years ago . We ’ ll also meet Senior Jessica Dow , a standout athlete who is following in the footsteps of her parents and siblings , and Junior Molly Katanga , a performer who unlocks her true self on the stage .
Our class notes also share a look into the lives - celebrations , career advancements , and retirements - of alumni around the country . They share these parts of themselves with you , current families , students , and alumni as a way to stay connected to the TA community .
As you turn the pages , you will see both new and familiar faces . I hope reading their stories will bring back warm memories and inspire you to reconnect with old friends and classmates . As Trojans , both past and present , we all share a connection , and TA is the thread that ties us all together .
Best ,
FROM THE HEADMASTER
